UpBeat Music was founded in 2011 by Dick Reinlie after realizing the real need for a local music store in Crestview, Florida based on the explosive growth of the area and the numerous requests from band parents and musicians for there to be a local music store. Previously, the closest music store was an hour and a half round trip from Crestview. UpBeat Music strives to help musicians of all ages and skill levels further their artistic goals by providing great products, lessons, repairs, and school band rentals - all at reasonable prices.

In April 2019, Dick Reinlie opened a second location in Fort Walton Beach to enable UpBeat Music to serve more communities. This second location is the home of our main guitar workshop, and also provides music lessons in our studios. UpBeat Music is active with the local school music programs and frequently sponsors charity events and live music shows that help local organizations, bands, and musicians.
