Supplies
Baby Quilt 3x4 blocks
Youth Quilt 5x7 blocks
Adult Quilt 8x10 blocks
MATH to determine yardages (Youth Quilt used as example)
1. Multiply the number of rows and columns 5x7=35 blocks on the front
2. Multiply the above number by two to include the back 35x2=90 total blocks
3. 4-10" squares are in a WOF so divide total blocks by 4 90/4=22.5 so round up to 23 10" WOF strips
4. Divide the number of WOF Strips by the number of colors you choose to use (5 is my choice) 23/5=4.6
round up to 5.
5. Multiply by 10 inches to get yardage for each color 5x10=50" each color
6. Divide by 36 to get yardage. 50/36=1.5yds / color
This quilt is designed as a flannel quilt. Please feel free to use flannel, denim, or quilters cotton. If using quilters cotton you will need to use batting in the quilt.
