SEWING MACHINE SERVICE AND REPAIR
SEW SEW STUDIO - BOGART AND DULUTH LOCATIONS
We depend on our sewing machines to perform when we need them to, but sometimes we forget that we have to do our part to maintain the machinery as they age. Is your machine acting strange? Has it been years since it’s been cleaned and tuned? Are you simply trying to keep your machine in tip-top shape so you'll have it for many years to come? Bring it in for service!
Our service technicians are knowledgeable, meticulous, and specially trained to work on the brands of sewing and embroidery machines that we sell in our shops. Your machine will be in the right hands when you bring it to Sew Sew!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What brand of machines do you service?
Sew Sew Studio proudly sells Janome, Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, and Brother sewing and embroidery machines and sergers. If your machine has earned a spa retreat and just needs annual maintenance, the technicians at either of our Northeast Georgia locations will be happy to get it running in top form! However, if you're in need of a repair, each location has specific offerings:
At our Bogart location, our technician Ken can clean and tune machines from a variety of brands but specializes specifically in the repair and maintenance of Janome, Elna and Brother sewing and embroidery machines.
Our Duluth technician, Sam, is able to offer specialized repair and maintenance on Janome, Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, and Brother machines, in addition to the basic service of other machine models.
What is your standard turnaround time?
Our standard turnaround time is two to three weeks, although this may vary depending on the season of the year. Additional time may be required to order replacement parts from the manufacturer for repairs. Please feel free to call us at 678-661-0201 (Bogart) or 770-497-2973 (Duluth) for more information.
Do I need to make an appointment to bring my machine in for service?
No. If you need to bring your machine in for service, you can just drop it off during our regular store hours. When your machine is finished and ready for pick up, we'll send you a text or email to let you know.
• Tuesday - Friday - 10:30 AM to 6 PM
• Saturday - 10:30 AM to 4 PM
• Sunday - 1 PM to 5 PM
Duluth Store Hours:
• Monday - Saturday - 10 AM to 4 PM
What is your pricing for service and repairs?
General clean and tune includes cover removal, cleaning, oiling, tension and timing adjustments, and a long list of other checks and balances. This service is designed to keep your machine in top performance mode.
• Sewing Machines and Sergers - $169.99
• Long Arm Quilting Machines - $209.99
• Single Needle Embroidery Only Machines - $209.99
• Combo Sewing and Embroidery Machines - $209.99
• Multi-Needle Embroidery Machines - $499.99
We are happy to remove the covers of your machine, dust it out, evaluate the issues, and provide estimates for replacement parts before performing additional service on your machine. HOWEVER, you must pay the base level of service charge ($169.99) regardless of whether you decide to move forward with the repair or not. Our technicians work hard to provide a thorough evaluation of the machine, but it takes their time and resources to do so.
When is payment due?
The general clean and tune fee (see above) is due when you drop off your machine for service. Additional costs for in-depth repairs and replacement parts will be cleared with the customer during the service period and will be due upon pick up.
How often do I need to service my machine?
We recommend that you service your machine once a year to ensure that it’s always in good working order.
