Watercolor: Au Natural

Teaching for 35 years to international groups Terrilynn has acquired ways to teach solid basics for understanding of how to paint with watercolor so you can work toward painting for joy and self-expression in your paintings and not just copy another.

Watercolor is beautifully fluid and we can create in a wonderful partnership with the medium if we allow it to express itself and follow where it leads without trying to totally control it.  Even if you’re an intermediate, there are concepts that will help you improve your painting.

This workshop takes a deep dive into:

  •        controlling the wetness of the paper
  •        adjusting the consistency of the paint and water mix for various effects
  •        secrets of color using a very limited palette
  •        and fundamental brush marks
  •        brush and palette care

Once these concepts are learned, we employ them to paint some beautiful watercolor paintings. At the end of the day we have an informal critique by an international curator.
