Moving On With ProStitcher Feb 16



Class Description: This Hands-on Class is for existing Pro-Stitcher users. Moving beyond the basic edge to edge and exploring all the fantastic features this computerized system has to offer. Having this Hand-on opportunity to use Pro-Stitcher is a huge benifit for those that learn best by actually using a software package.


Objective: Students using Pro-Stitcher will build confidence to use those "other buttons" to stitch designs and learn how simple and easy it is to use Pro-Stitcher.

Topics include:
• Create an area and place a block using Skew, Resize, Xform or Align
• Use the modify tools to make a design fit in any space
• Set up an edge to edge design three ways
• Cropping the bottom of an edge to edge design
• Repositioning multiple ways for different tasks
• Manage sashings, border and corners
• Cropping, rotating and resizing designs for customization
• Use Mark and Record to create your own designs
• Combining designs to create new ones


Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Must be comfortable with entry level ProStitcher
Materials Included: Fabric, batting, thread included.
Requirements: All attendees must be Covid 19 Vaccinated and showing no symptoms at time of class attendance.
Instructor: Megan Best
Instructor Bio: Megan Best has always loved fabrics and made her first quilt while in high school. She continued to foster this love throughout her education, achieving degrees in apparel design and merchandising / textiles. Thousands of quilts later, she still loves to create. Megan?s career in the fabric industry includes experience in fabric stores, retail management, quilt shop ownership and as a professional longarm quilter. She excels in both computerized and free motion quilting, winning many ribbons at local and national shows. She quilts on both her HQ Forte? and HQ Avant??, both with Pro-Stitcher?. Megan?s teaching career includes experience as a college instructor, a quilting teacher for local guilds and retail shops, and an instructor at national and international machine quilting shows as well as master of the ZOOM class. Megan lives in NW Washington on a mini farm (in the making), has two children, and a very supportive husband.
